Yoga Therapy
What is Yoga Therapy?
Yoga Therapy is a comprehensive and holistic healing art designed to support balance in your life. Each session is personalized to your challenges and needs designed with the goal of bringing you Back to Being.
Yoga Therapy is for every body, no prior Yoga experience is needed. I will do my best to meet you where you are.
Are you struggling to manage your stress?
Do you struggle to fall or stay asleep?
Are you experiencing chronic pain?
Do you want to improve your overall well being?
Are you feeling in a funk or out of balance in some way?
Are past experiences impacting your day to day life?
Do you feel close to burn out?
Is Yoga Therapy for you?
If you answered “yes” to any of the above questions, you are in the right place!
Yoga Therapy sessions: What to expect
-

Time Commitment
Consistency is key when starting your Yoga Therapy Journey! We recommend beginning with 6 sessions (including the Intake session). However the complete number of sessions depends on individual needs and goals.
The intake session will last between 60 and 90 minutes. Each session after is 60 minutes.
A weekly or bi-weekly rhythm is best!
-

Location
Sessions are available online via G-Meet to accommodate busy schedules and offer flexibility from home.
I am available to meet at a local park (weather permitting) or In-Home (for an added fee) in the Denver/Boulder area.
We can discuss what works best for you.
-

Your First Session
In the first Yoga Therapy session, we will review your Intake form and set goals for working together.
Assessments will be done to set baseline measurements for you, and we will explore different practices and discuss their impacts.
We will conclude with reviewing the at-home practice (homework!) to explore until the next time we meet.
-

Personalized Sessions For You
Each follow up Yoga Therapy session will include check-ins on your home practice and reviewing your goals.
We will explore additional practices and modify what is not working for your take home practice. Movement, meditation, and breath work may be done during these sessions.
Each session is curated and designed for you.
Yoga Therapy sessions may include:

My journey - spanning life as a high-performance athlete, years as a corporate leader, and navigating early childhood trauma - has shaped the unique skill set I bring to my work.
These experiences taught me how to push limits, excel under pressure and meet expectations. But they also conditioned me to overachieve, people-please, and disconnect from my own regulation and rest. It took time to realize that my nervous system was constantly in overdrive.
Yoga helped me reclaim balance—and it continues to support my evolving relationship with myself.
Yoga Therapy is, at its core, a commitment to self. It’s not a quick fix, but a practice of deep inquiry and integration. For this reason, I ask clients to commit to a minimum of two sessions. This gives us space to establish connection and begin measuring the impact of your personalized practices.
The International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) defines yoga therapy as “the professional application of the principles and practices of yoga to promote health and well-being within a therapeutic relationship that includes personalized assessment, goal setting, lifestyle management, and yoga practices for individuals or small groups.”
As a Certified Yoga Therapist with IAYT, I am committed to responsible and ethical practice and to my own professional and personal growth. I am also bound by their Code of Ethics and Scope of Practice.
